Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and the operators of Klipworm ("Klipworm", "we", "us", or "our"), accessible at klipworm.online.

By accessing or using any part of the Klipworm website or the browser-based video editor (collectively, the "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (available at klipworm.online/privacy).

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" will refer to that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Klipworm is a browser-based video editing application. It provides tools for importing, arranging, trimming, and exporting video, audio, and image media files. Key features include a multi-track timeline editor, AI-powered automatic caption generation, color grading, transitions, effects, and watermark-free 4K export.

All media processing in Klipworm occurs locally within your browser using standard web platform APIs including WebAssembly, WebGL, Web Audio API, and browser-native storage (localStorage and IndexedDB). Your media files are never uploaded to Klipworm's servers.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use the Service, and your use must be supervised.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements above and that all information you provide to us is accurate and complete.

Klipworm allows you to use the full video editor without creating an account. Optional account registration is available and provides additional features such as project sync and account management.

If you create an account:

• You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. • You must notify us immediately at legal@klipworm.online if you believe your account has been compromised. • You may not share your account with, or transfer your account to, another person.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are found to be used for abusive or fraudulent purposes.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree that you will NOT use the Service to:

• Create, edit, export, or distribute any content that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any person. • Create, edit, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, abusive, threatening, or otherwise objectionable. • Create or distribute content that depicts or promotes illegal acts, including violence against persons or animals. • Create deepfakes, non-consensual synthetic media, or misleading audiovisual content intended to deceive or defraud. • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any part of the Service. • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service in a manner that causes excessive load on our infrastructure. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our backend systems. • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including reporting to law enforcement, against any violation of these provisions.

You retain full ownership of all media files, projects, captions, and exported videos that you create using the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.

Because all processing occurs locally in your browser, Your Content is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We therefore have no technical access to Your Content.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to import, edit, and export each media file you use in the Service. • Your use of media files within the Service does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. • Your Content does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

If you export a video and publish it publicly, you are solely responsible for ensuring that all music, footage, images, fonts, and other assets used in that video are properly licensed for your intended use (including commercial use if applicable).

Klipworm's editor operates entirely within your web browser using browser-native APIs. As a result:

• Performance (preview frame rate, export speed, caption generation time) depends on your device's hardware — specifically your CPU, GPU, and available RAM. • Very large files, long timelines, or a high number of simultaneous tracks may slow performance on older or lower-spec devices. • Browser memory limits apply. If a project exceeds your browser's available memory, the editor may become unresponsive or crash. We recommend working with compressed source files where possible. • Export quality and codec support may vary by browser. H.264/MP4 export is supported on all major browsers. H.265 and AV1 support depends on your device's hardware decoders. • AI caption generation requires a browser that supports WebAssembly multithreading. Modern versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari support this. Older browsers may not.

We make no guarantee of specific export speeds, resolution support, or feature availability on any particular hardware or browser version.

Klipworm is currently offered entirely free of charge with no feature restrictions. This includes watermark-free export, AI auto-captions, color grading, and 4K export.

We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If we do so:

• We will provide reasonable advance notice to registered users. • Existing free features at the time of any pricing change will remain accessible to existing users for a reasonable transition period, as specified in any pricing announcement. • Paid subscriptions, if introduced, will be subject to additional terms presented at the time of subscription.

We do not currently accept payments or store credit card information. If payment processing is introduced, it will be handled by a certified third-party payment processor operating under PCI DSS compliance standards.

Klipworm uses your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB to save your projects and imported media on your own device. We do not back up this data on our servers.

You acknowledge and agree that:

• Clearing your browser's site data for klipworm.online will permanently delete all saved projects and media stored by the editor on your device. • Uninstalling your browser or resetting your device may result in loss of locally stored projects. • We are not responsible for any loss of project data resulting from browser data clearing, device failure, browser updates, or any other cause. • You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of any important projects or exported files.

We strongly recommend exporting finished videos to your local drive and keeping copies in a location you control.

Klipworm may display advertising on marketing pages, blog articles, and informational tool pages. We do not display advertising inside the active video editor workspace.

Advertisements are served by third-party advertising networks that operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Klipworm is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or claims made in third-party advertisements.

You agree not to use any automated means to block, interfere with, or circumvent advertisements displayed on the Service in a way that violates the policies of the advertising network or our own terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, KLIPWORM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Klipworm does not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) any errors will be corrected; (c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or (d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KLIPWORM, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF KLIPWORM HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

To the extent that liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim; or (b) USD $10.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Klipworm and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use or misuse of the Service; • Any content you create, edit, or export using the Service; • Your violation of these Terms; • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation; • Your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or other rights.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of the relevant jurisdiction, as required by applicable law.
